Office of the Public Advocate Annual Report 2014-2015
On 19 February 2016, the Office of the Public Advocate’s Annual Report 2014-15 was tabled in the Queensland Parliament.
The Office of the Public Advocate is an independent statutory body established to protect and promote the rights, autonomy and participation of people with impaired decision-making capacity. Much of this body’s work over the past year has centred on concerns and issues associated with the NDIS trials and readiness activities.
It have targeted issues relevant to promoting the rights and protection of people with disability, with a particular focus on how best to ensure appropriate safeguards for people with impaired capacity.
