Cairns – NDIS Readiness Workshops

We have a full day of events planned. You may wish to come to both events or just one. Please register for each event separately below.

9:00 to 4:00 pm – NDIS Readiness Workshop, Cairns

The Change Room
1 day workshop equips front-line managers with the tools and skills to support staff through the change process, and to facilitate positive change in their organisation.
The workshop further explores the aspects of change and how different people react to change.  The workshop will help front-line managers acquire and put into practice the right skills to adapt their own approach and that of their front-line staff in a time of major change.  The Change Room utilises person-centred thinking and tools to ensure that the strategies used and learnt in the workshop remain relevant and effective under the NDIS.

4:00 pm – 5:00 pm – Mindful Networking Event

The Mindful Networking series was established by the Queensland Alliance for Mental Health as a way of bringing people with an interest in mental health together. This event will provide you with an opportunity to develop strategies and build your confidence to represent your organisation while creating strong professional networks.

BDO colour

BDO will briefly discuss (15-20mins) the NDIS Readiness Survey that was developed to gauge the readiness of Queensland’s disability providers and provide a meaningful and useful road map for their path to full NDIS implementation. The results of the survey are now available, putting a spotlight on six prominent challenges facing providers. BDO will offer further insight into the NDIS readiness journey that many organisations are currently undertaking and will share both quantitative and qualitative findings from the survey.
The rest of the evening is available to relax, have a drink and mingle with other attendees. We look forward to seeing you there.
